Corn Meatballs

Ingredients

1 cup P.A.N. PRE-COOKED YELLOW CORN FLOUR

½ cup P.A.N. PRE-COOKED YELLOW CORN FLOUR for breading

1 cup vegetable broth

¼ cup vegetable oil

Salt to taste

1 pound ground beef

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon ground oregano

½ onion, grated

1 egg

2 cups homemade tomato sauce

Preparation

  1. In a bowl combine the P.A.N. PRE-COOKED YELLOW CORN FLOUR with the vegetable broth, salt, beef, cumin, oregano, grated onion and egg and knead until thoroughly combined.
  2. Shape into small balls, approximately 1 ½-inches in diameter. Next, dip the balls in the P.A.N. PRE-COOKED YELLOW CORN FLOUR and fry in vegetable oil until golden. Transfer to paper towels to drain and set aside.
  3. In a pan, heat the homemade tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper and cook for a few minutes.

Add the meatballs and cook on medium-low heat for approximately 15 minutes.
